Scavenger Hunt - History

Once upon a time...

There was a place called Osgoode Hall Law School . At Osgoode Hall, there were two work study students named Rachel and Josh. These intelligent and energetic students worked in the Advancement Office and were having a great summer. Despite all the fun they were having, they felt that something was missing from their lives, but they couldn't put their fingers on just what it was.

As September began to approach, these two students started planning their class schedules and extracurricular activities but they could not find any special programs that interested them. One day, the two students were lamenting about the lack of programs for upper year students:

"What about doing an intensive program?" one of them asked.

"Yes, but those programs are so 'academic'" the other retorted, "I want to do   something fun for a change."

"What joining one of the student clubs?" the first student offered.

"Yes, but then you have to do stuff all year, and I don't want to make that kind of   commitment," the other responded. "I wish there was an event in September that   would only last 1 day..Aha! I've got it! I've just had the most brilliant idea of   my entire life - what about a 30 hour scavenger hunt?!?"

"Yes! Yes!" they both screamed, "it is the best idea we have ever had!"

And so it began. the students sat down to plan this amazing program. They locked themselves in room 415 to make phone calls, think of tasks and organize the closing ceremonies and lunch. After months of planning, the students finally emerged from their tiny office. They were dirty, they were disheveled, but they had done it! They had assembled a list of 250 exciting items to be completed by their fellow students. The list involved gathering objects, taking photos, making videos and performing tasks. After meeting with the Dean, 117 items remained on the list. The students were now on their way!

And here we are. We are presenting you, Osgoode upper year student, with the opportunity to be a part of a new Osgoode tradition - the Osgoode Scavenger Hunt. JOIN US and make September a month to remember!
