Establish New CLASP Prize |
 |
Three current Osgoode students, who wish to remain
anonymous, have made a commitment to support the School
and the Community and Legal Aid Services Program (CLASP).
They have established The CLASP Prize for Social Justice.
As former division leaders in CLASP, they wanted to
support an area that made a difference in their lives.
The prize will be given to a division leader who has
excelled academically, demonstrated outstanding dedication
to CLASP, and will pursue a career in the area of Social
Justice upon graduation.
CLASP,
a student-staffed legal services organization, provides
free legal services to low-income persons and works
with community groups in addressing public legal education
and law reform issues. Two review counsel and a director
supervise law students in the provision of all legal
services through the clinic.
