In 2003, the Class of 1978 celebrated their 25th class reunion. They recognized that the Law School played a significant role in their lives, both professionally and personally. To commemorate this special occasion, they decided to establish a bursary with the intention of helping future Osgoode students succeed in their legal education.

This bursary will be awarded to a student entering the first year of study in the LLB program. Recipients must demonstrate financial need. The Ontario government, through the Ontario Student Opportunity Trust Fund, has contributed matching funds to the endowment; therefore the award is restricted to students who are Canadian citizens/permanent residents and Ontario residents.
