Martineau DuMoulin Classroom Unveiled at Osgoode
On October 18, 2001 Dean Peter W. Hogg hosted a reception
at Osgoode Hall Law School to celebrate the opening of
the Fasken Martineau DuMoulin LLP Classroom, made possible
through a donation from the law firm's Legal Education
Endowment Program.
The Fasken Martineau DuMoulin Classroom incorporates the
latest technology including Internet connection, video
with full-colour and sound, a document camera for displaying
pages of books and other documents on an overhead screen,
and a console for operating computer programs at the front
of the room. In addition, the room features excellent
acoustics and lighting and ergonomically designed furniture.
The Legal Education Endowment Program was created by Fasken
Martineau DuMoulin to support top-quality facilities and
educational initiatives at Canadian law schools. The program
is specifically structured to allow the firm to work with
each law school in developing innovative and creative
strategies for the funds, which are individually tailored
to the needs of the particular school and its students.
Fasken Martineau DuMoulin LLP is one of Canada's leading
law firms with more than 500 lawyers located in offices
across Canada and abroad. It has a longstanding tradition
of involvement with the law schools, and the Legal Education
Endowment Program will be an ongoing initiative of the
firm. |
