Balour
Halévy, Law Librarian at Osgoode from 1967 to 1999,
has generously endowed a bursary fund to support LLB students
at the Law School, and honour the dedication of talented
library staff.
The
Law Library Bursaries will be awarded to Osgoode LLB
students who demonstrate financial need. A portion of
the endowment was be matched by the Ontario government
and therefore, some of the expendable income will be
limited to Canadian citizens/permanent residents and
residents of Ontario. The remainder will be awarded
without restrictions.
This
is a truly generous gift that will be welcomed by Osgoode
students, and will also pay tribute to the hard work
and commitment of Law Library staff.
