I chose
Osgoode "because of its reputation of being one of
the top schools in the country and its broad, interesting
course selection, including the option of enrolling in hands-on
internship programs such as Parkdale. I also was attracted
to the first-year section format where you stayed with your
section for all classes for first year."
The highlight of my experience "Osgoode was an
environment that was great for team-building and relationship-building
through participation in many activities including study groups,
Mock Trial, Moot Court and regular social events. Osgoode
also had an excellent library and facilities and was close
to the Graduate residences. Living on campus and having access
to the excellent athletic facilities at York was a real convenience."
What I learned "The best thing I took from my
experience at Osgoode was an excellent, rounded, practical
education in several areas of the law. My law school education
gave me the tools to apply logical reasoning and perspective
to any set of facts or business challenges I encounter. I
always say you can do business with a law degree but you can't
practise law without one.
